Whoever ends up here, has arrived!

True to this motto, we have welcomed our guests since 1994 at the Hotel Kolumbus. Service is what matters and this is a top priority for us. So that you can simply enjoy your stay in the capital. The high quality of all services at our hotel was even confirmed by the certification of a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2000. So that you can simply enjoy your stay in the capital...

Now that we have made a number of investments and have gradually renovated the entire building, our 3star hotel has a capacity of 224 rooms comprising a total of 614 beds, a variety of conference rooms and a restaurant. If you want to really explore Berlin, our hotel in Berlin-Lichtenberg is just the right place for you. Apart from its suitable name, our hotel has much of the mindset that is so typical of Berlin to offer: comfortableness, a good cuisine and friendly employees who will gladly help you to find your way through the urban jungle and who can offer a multitude of insider tips. Word has gotten around that our price-performance ratio is excellent and we have been able to attract many regular guests.

The history of our hotel is inseparably intertwined with the name of the manager: Monika Rink bought the former workers' hostel in 1994 and has run it as a very successful middle-class enterprise ever since. She herself is well-known and respected as a businesswoman well beyond the borders of the district, her social commitment playing a considerable role. As a successful, owner-operated enterprise, the hotel Kolumbus with awarded with the “Great Prize of the Middle Class” by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation in 2006.

In our subline we hold the title “The hotel for sportspeople in Berlin”. Therefore it may well happen that you meet the one or other well-known sportsman in our foyer. Even if not, you can see which famous sportspeople have already lodged here when you have a drink at our “SportsBar” and take a look at the photo gallery.
For 11 years already the Hotel Kolumbus has been a committed and very versatile partner and sponsor, in particular for Berlin's young sports talents. Our boss, Ms. Monika Rink herself holds a voluntary office as vice president of the SC Berlin, one of Berlin's biggest sports club. Besides our hotel is a dedicated training company and provides training posts especially for competitive athletes, which are adapted to the requirements of a sports career.

Whatever you plan to do in Berlin, you can reach the city center of Berlin within no time at all from our hotel and thus also those places of the metropolis that are well-known and fraught with history. Just let our team give you some tips for your discovery tour through Berlin – tips that you can't find in any high-gloss brochure. Insider tips that is.

The team around our reception clerk, Mr. Christian Hempel-Werner, will be pleased to answer any question you might have about your stay or the creation of your sight-seeing program of the capital.
