Every autumn, Berlin is transformed into a sea of colour and light. A series of dazzling lights lend their own special brilliance to a host of Berlin’s famous sights, including the Brandenburg Gate, the TV Tower, the Berliner Dom Cathedral, the Funkturm radio tower and many more. The stunning nightly light show comes with art actions and cultural events on the topic of light. The city’s unusual, magical light attracts lots of visitors, with special Lightseeing tours offered by bus, boat or Velotaxi – and even on a nightly Light Run.

24. Berliner Jedermann-Festspiele
In 1912, when Hugo von Hofmannsthal wrote "Jedermann", a new version of the medieval morality play "Everyman", he found he had created a modern classic. In the last hour of his life, a man is abandoned by friends and possessions – and the story gradually unfolds around the universal themes of repentance and the meaning of life. For more than 20 years, the Jedermann Festival has been a permanent fixture on the Berlin arts scene. This year's star cast performing against the dramatic backdrop of the Berlin Cathedral include Winfrid Glatzeder as “Everyman”, Herbert Feuerstein as “Devil” and Eva Habermann in the role of the “Buhlschaft”. The performance is in German. Director: Brigitte Grothum.
