Frida Kahlo - Retrospective

daily 9a.m.-10p.m.

The colourful paintings by Frida Kahlo are both, fascinating and startling. Masterly, she combined her own tragic experiences with the culture of her home country. This comprehensive exhibition contains works that have never before been on exhibit, including ninety drawings that up to now are unpublished. One highpoint will be Frida Kahlo’s last work, presented here to the public for the very first time. The collection deals with the artistic development from the new functionalism to surrealism. With more than 120 paintings and drawings, this is the most extensive exhibition with works by Frida Kahlo in Germany, so far and is completed by photographs from the family's private property.
